Name: Mind and Body

The name of the show is a phrase ‘Mind and Body’ and I named it this because there will be two girl characters which one of them will use their mind to investigate and the other one uses technology and is stronger.

Type of Crime Drama: Investigative and Forensic. Could also by psychological as one of the characters uses their minds. It will be a investigative as one of the characters will use their intelligence and try to investigate using their mind where as the other character is more like a technology genius who uses forensics and different kinds of technology to investigate.

Characters: Two characters (duo); A technology genius character and another character who uses intelligence and mind. – The actresses I will use are; Lacey Turner as the technology genius because she has left Eastenders and it will be a career success for her. The intelligent character will be Libby Fox another previous character from Eastenders as she seems to be very intelligent and use her mind to investigate. The technology genius will be a tall, troubled hero who will try and use different kinds of technology to find out the victim who is also very outgoing. Furthermore the other character will be shyer and uses her intelligence to help her best friend figure out who the victim is.

Structure of Show : Series – each time the episode will be self contained and the crime will be solved at the end which means the audience would not have to watch every episode to understand what is going on.

Typical Narrative: Restrictive: In my show there will be two characters. One girl who is a technology genius and the other girl who uses her intelligence. The audience will know as much information as the investigators and it will not be clear who did the crime until the end which will hook the end.

Setting: New York. - The setting will be in the lab when the technology genius will try to find different kinds of information where as the other character will be in the office trying to figure out who could of done the crime using her intelligence. Sometimes both of the characters will be on the streets trying to catch the victim.

Style – Intelligent fast paced and sometimes may be gritty.

Scheduling: Post watershed. Broadcasted on BBC 1 from 10:00pm – 11:00pm it is a Niche which means more of an adult show as it may include some gritty scenes.

Target Audience - Niche (adults/ young adults). The show may be gritty sometimes and taboo language may be used which would not be suitable for children.

CSI/Sherlock both together as there is mind and technology used.

USP: What makes your drama different?
It is very unusual and it has actresses who never played in a crime drama before. There haven’t been any crime dramas who involve a character that uses mind and another character that uses technology, who are both females.
